SYM Sailing Club
SYM stands for "Stubbers Young Mariners". The club was originally formed to provide dinghy sailing instruction to the youth of the local area, but now, after more than 25 years of operation, we provide sailing instruction for both Adult and Junior Members.
SYM Sailing Club is unique in being able to provide all the equipment for the whole family to "go sailing" almost every Sunday throughout the year in a safe environment.
We sail on an inland lake, based in Essex [on the fringe of East London] for a low, economic, yearly membership fee.
An affiliation with Erith Yacht Club permits use of the Tidal Thames for social and training courses.
The Royal Yachting Association monitor our equipment, procedures and volunteer qualified instructors on a regular basis.
